## Minimum Requirements
* Bachelor''s degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in Structural Design or a Structural Engineering degree
* Minimum nine years of relevant experience
Registered Professional Engineer in the State of California (Structural)
* Experience as a design structural engineer working with concrete, steel, masonry and wood with an understanding of the corresponding design Codes and Specifications
Experience in lead design roles on projects for facilities type projects for military, commercial, health care, and industrial projects
Experience in lead structural design roles for datacenters in the high tech industry
* Knowledge of engineering software such as RAM, STAAD, Excel, AutoCAD, REVIT, and Tedds
* Experience with facility type structures including health care, K-12 educational, college and university, industrial, data centers, commercial, and retail

## Job Description
The Infrastructure & Environment Division of URS is actively seeking a highly talented Structural Engineer for immediate employment in the San Francisco office. The appropriately qualified applicant will be able to demonstrate relevant experience in infrastructure and facilities structural engineering. The primary responsibility for this position is to provide senior leadership and value engineering in infrastructure and facilities projects. This position will be supported by a well-developed structural engineering design production team.
Incumbent Responsibilities:
* Work with URS design teams and prime contractors on design build and design-bid-build pursuits to develop innovative cost savings approached to design projects
* Provide senior design and constructability oversight for URS structural design teams to assure successful project delivery
* Lead marketing efforts with existing and new clients including preparation of proposals, client visitation, and participation in presentations. Responsible for business development strategy
* Assist business line managers in the development of new business opportunities
* Assist in feasibility studies of alternative design approaches in collaboration with the project team
* Collaborate with the project geotechnical engineer to provide cost effective foundation solutions
* Support the project team in order to deliver well-coordinated design documents
* Accountable for project planning and design management to meet project budgets and schedules
* Prepare/review appropriate, organized, and thorough design calculations
* Prepare/review project specifications
* Adhere to the URS Quality Assurance process
* Work with the construction team reviewing shop drawings and responding to RFI''s
