Join us. **Job Description** AECOM has an exciting opportunity for a Structural Engineer at our Orange, California office. We are seeking candidates who will be able to immediately contribute to the successful delivery of existing projects and promote growth. **Job Responsibilities:** + Design and plan activities on maritime projects: container terminals, mining/bulk, oil/gas, marinas, ports and harbors, coastal defense and development schemes. + Work with other senior staff and the project design team to analyze and design waterfront structures such as Piers, wharves, bulkheads and large marine terminals. + Assist with calculations and productions of drawing and documents. + Structural design and analysis on waterfront projects, across the United States. + Prepare engineering related calculations. + Coordinate with other in-house engineering disciplines as needed. + Perform condition assessments and site visits as needed. + Gather and correlate basic engineering data using established and well-defined procedures. + Work on detailed or routine engineering assignments involving calculations. + Propose approach to solve new problems encountered. + Identify discrepancies in results. + Provide guidance to entry-level engineers. + Perform work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule with moderate supervision. **Qualifications** **Minimum Requirements:** Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or related field and 2 years of experience in the job offered or in a project engineering-related occupation. Position requires: + Design of marine structures: wharves, piles, sheet piles, and dolphins in seismic zones; + Computer analysis and design software: SAP2000, STAAD, LPile, or MathCAD; + AutoCAD or MicroStation; + Seismic Analysis; + Wind Analysis; + Linear Static Analysis: Equivalent Lateral Force Analysis; + Linear Dynamic Analysis: Response Spectrum Analysis; + Nonlinear Static Analysis: Pushover Analysis; + Providing structural sketches or redlines and overseeing drafting process; + Conducting construction administration tasks: answering RFIs and reviewing submittals; + California Professional Engineer License. **Additional Information** Offered rate of compensation (California locations only) will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location.
