## Minimum Requirements
* Bachelor''s degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering
* Licensed Civil Engineer in the State of California
* Minimum 12 years of experience including complete management of small to medium sized projects and significant portions of large projects. Such project management must be within expectations for quality, cost and schedule
* Demonstrated capability of independently writing technical reports and proposals and making presentations to clients
* Experience with simultaneously managing numerous assignments or several sub-tasks within a given assignment
* Engineering experience should be focused on facilities and back-land development, including buildings, site infrastructure, liquid storage tanks and supporting equipment and pipeline/conveyance systems
* Qualified applicants who are offered a position must pass a pre-employment substance abuse test

The Ports & Maritime Department of URS is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Senior Civil or Structural Engineer for immediate employment in the Long Beach, CA office. The appropriately qualified applicant will be able to
demonstrate an established career in petroleum, chemical and other industrial applications. URS is proud to

The Senior Civil or Structural Engineer will perform analysis and design of buildings, storage tanks, vessels, equipment, conveyance systems, and pipelines for handling of liquid and/or dry bulk products, prepare technical reports, and supervise and mentor junior staff. Responsibilities include the following:
* Effectively manage multiple projects
* Responsible for the control of quality cost and schedule on assigned projects
* Prepare budgets, monitor costs, pursue contract change orders due to changes in scope of services
* Prepare of invoices, and follow-up on aged accounts
* Prepare of project schedules, and determination of project manpower requirements
* Arrange for off-project quality control reviews and satisfaction of quality control documentation
* Assist in the selection, procurement and negotiation of subcontractor or consultant services
* Monitor performance of subcontractors or consultants
* Expected to manage projects with minimal supervision
* Receive guidance from Department Manager in terms of broad general objectives and limits
