**Job Summary**
AECOM is seeking a Structural Engineering Supervisor to work at San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station in San Clemente, CA.
Structural Engineering Supervisor for the SDS Project
+ Responsible for all site structural analyses, calculations, and evaluations (including structural steel, concrete, soil & seismic designs)
+ Create internal designs
+ Technically review and approve Vendor design documents and work plans
+ Supervises junior Structural / Civil engineers and acts as their mentor
+ Requires a multi-disciplinary knowledge of engineering and ability to interact with and lead multi-disciplinary work groups
+ Able to develop and maintain project schedules for their group
+ Works under minimum supervision
Level specific responsibilities:
+ Performs various responsibilities for a specific technical group or department.
+ Has full responsibility for interpreting, organizing, executing, and coordinating technical assignments.
+ Generally requires multi-disciplinary knowledge of engineering.
+ Plans and develops engineering tasks concerned with unique or controversial problems. This involves exploration of subject area, definition of scope and selection of problems for investigation and development of novel concepts and approaches.
+ Maintains liaison with units within the organization and individuals inside and outside of the organization.
+ Responsible for acting independently on technical matters pertaining to the field. Work at this level usually requires extensive progressive experience.
+ Works under minimal supervision. Supervision received is essentially administrative with assignments given in terms of broad general objectives and limits.
+ Supervises group of engineers and/or technicians, coordinating activities of the unit.
**Minimum Requirements**
+ BA/BS in Civil or Structural Engineering plus 6 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
+ California PE license
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ MS in Civil or Structural Engineering preferred
+ Previous nuclear power plant engineering experience preferred.
